Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) Policy

At SmartShip.ie, we strive to provide exceptional products and customer service. However, we understand that returns may be necessary in certain situations. Our RMA policy is designed to ensure a smooth and transparent process for handling returns, exchanges, and warranty claims.
✅ Eligibility for RMA
Customers may request an RMA under the following circumstances:
  • 🛠️ The product is defective or damaged upon delivery
  • 🔁 The product received differs from what was ordered
  • 📅 The product is within the specified return or warranty period
  • 🔒 The product is unopened, unused, and in resalable condition (for change-of-mind returns)
Products that fall outside these criteria may be declined for RMA processing.
📝 How to Request an RMA
To initiate an RMA, customers must:
  1. Email the shop where you made the purchase and they will provide you with an Authorisation Code to use on the RMA Form 
  2. Include the following details:
  • Order number
  • Item(s) to be returned
  • Reason for return
  • Photos or videos (if applicable)
Once received, our team will respond within 48 hours with instructions and RMA approval (if applicable).
📦 Return Instructions
  • Items must be securely packaged to avoid damage in transit
  • Include the RMA number clearly on the package
  • Ship the item to the address provided in your RMA confirmation email
SmartShip.ie is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
🔄 Refunds & Replacements
Once the returned item is inspected and approved:
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days
  • Replacements will be dispatched once the returned item is received and verified
🚫 Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
  • Custom or special-order products
  • Software, licenses, or digital downloads
  • Opened hygiene-related items (e.g., earbuds, grooming tools)
